Digest: Omega-3s During Pregnancy, Raw Milk Cheese, Food Poisoning, Red Wine and Tea, Diabetes, and Alzheimer’s

Look at all those omega-3s. Photo courtesy of Hicker Photo
Let them eat fish! (Or at least take fish oil) Omega-3 Intake During Last Months Of Pregnancy Boosts An Infant’s Cognitive And Motor Development - “A study…reveals that omega-3 intake during the last months of pregnancy boosts an infant’s sensory, cognitive, and motor development. …. Researchers observed that DHA concentration in the umbilical cord blood was in direct relation with the concentration found in a mother’s blood, a reminder of the importance of a mother’s diet in providing omega-3 fatty acids for the fetus. They also noted that DHA concentration was higher in the fetus’s blood than in the mother’s.”
Hot off the press: Unadulterated food has beneficial properties. Feta Cheese Made From Raw Milk Has Natural Anti-food-poisoning Properties - ‘”We were able to isolate lactic acid bacteria found in raw sheep milk from small farms in Macedonia, northern Greece. Several of these friendly bacteria naturally produce antibiotics that killed off dangerous food-poisoning bacteria like Listeria,”‘
Another good idea: stop eating a diet that promotes high blood sugar. Red Wine, Tea, May Help Regulate Blood Sugar In Type 2 Diabetics, Research Suggests - “researchers at the University of Massachusetts Amherst have shown that these beverages may hold promise for regulating the blood sugar of people with type 2 diabetes. … ‘Red wine and tea contain natural antioxidants that may slow the passage of glucose through the small intestine and eventually into the bloodstream and prevent this spike, which is an important step in managing this disease.’”
Perhaps because it is a form of diabetes. Diabetes In Mid-life Linked To Increased Risk Of Alzheimer’s Disease - “Men who develop diabetes in mid-life appear to significantly increase their risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease….The study found that the men with low insulin secretion capacity at age 50 were nearly one-and-a-half times more likely to develop Alzheimer’s disease than people without insulin problems. The risk remained significant regardless of blood pressure, cholesterol, body mass index and education.”

Hello. Just thought I’d share a quick testimonial to support the articles above. I have struggled with digestive problems and chronic fatigue for years, and have spent countless hours and thousands of dollars trying to heal myself. When I started taking cod liver oil and eating raw sheep milk feta from a local farm, I went through a miraculous transformation and am now completely healed! I was also consuming other fermented foods at the same time, such as kefir, beet kvass and sauerkraut. But it wasn’t until I added the RAW sheep milk feta and cod liver oil that I saw dramatic results. I have never been so healthy in my life!
Check out this website. It has literally been a life saver for me. westonaprice.org
It’s time we got back to the foods that have nourished us for thousands of years.
Take care.

I would like to point out for your error in the article. Macedonia is a separate country, and northern Greece is northern Greece. So it could be either Macedonia or Greece.
Thanks.
