With the community growing, I thought it would be good to tap into some of the knowledge floating around out there. So if you have something burning on your mind, feel free to put together a post and send it to me. I’ll be posting any posts I receive when I’m unable to put up posts of my own, either because I’m away from the Internet or because I just don’t have anything to write about (hey, it happens to the best of us…and to me as well). I prefer articles that aren’t time sensitive (i.e., not the latest breaking news) because they may not be posted immediately. By all means, let me know if it needs to go out by a certain date though and I’ll try to accommodate.

Here are the guidelines:

• 300-1500 words - Some flexibility here, but try to stick in this range
• Can be nutrition, fitness, or otherwise health-related, including recipes
• You can grab one of my old posts and disagree with it or come at it from a different angle or expand on anything that I missed
• Try to stay away from anything overtly political unless it has to do with the above topics
• Include any pictures you want, along with proper attribution if snatched from the web
• Include a short biography (3-5 sentences) and a link to your website

And here’s how to make this easy on all of us:

• Write it in Notepad or some other plain text editor, with formatting as follows:
• Write bold text as so: This should be bold
• Write italicized text as so: This should be italics
• Write underlined text as so: This should be underlined
• Any text that should be set out as a blockquote, write as so:
Blah, blah

• Links can be handled in one of two ways:
1. You can put a link number, for instance (1), and then include a “Sources” list at the end of the post corresponding to the link numbers
2. You can make text a link as so: Some text that will be a link
• SPELLCHECK! I’ll go through the post and check for typos, but I might miss some
• Email it to guestposts at modernforager.com

That’s it. It’s a chance to expose yourself (easy now!) to a new audience and expand the knowledge in the community here. There are no promises on when or if the posts will go out. If you send me something and later decide you don’t want me to post it for whatever reason (decided to post it on your own site, no longer relevant, etc), just email the same address above and let me know.

I’m looking forward to seeing what good stuff the community here can turn out. I know a lot of you have a different background and perspective on your health and nutrition journey.
