New Comment Tools
I’ve installed a couple of new comment tools. One of them gives you a rich-text editor, so you can bold, italicize, and add links to your comments more easily. The other allows you to edit your comments for 15 minutes after posting them. Enjoy!

Oops. That didn’t work out too well. Back to the drawing board.

Testing bold. Testing italics. Even Underline works

Cool! I’ve often wished for a correction capability since my fingers disengage from my brain when typing sometimes!!

Weird. Maybe firefox doesn’t work. I’ll try in IE.
This should be bold. This should be italic. This should be underline.

Yes, and now I see a box/dialog that invites me to edit, and it has a “countdown” (I didn’t see that before).
So, either Firefox doesn’t work, or the settings I have in firefox (security/javascript/popups) are interfering.
(Edit: Oh well, the ‘IE Tab’ add-on allows me to nominate this site as IE only, so no loss.)

I have Firefox pretty “locked down”, so the security settings are probably interfering.

I’m using Firefox on a Mac, and every time I put a comment, weird things like “ ” show up after the sentences and I have to go in and edit to make line breaks by hand (using html).

Hmm….I’m not seeing any of that (Firefox on Windows). I’ll see if there’s anything on the support forums. If this proves to be an impediment to easy posting, I’ll remove it.

So, I must not be the only one who writes a comment, edits and corrects several times, hits the submit button, reads it again, and sees yet another typo or two, or but it’s too late. Wow. Cool beans.I’m using Safari. On a Mac, but I think that’s redundant.

Testing again

Hmm, I seem to get the same problem I had on my Mac while using Explorer on a PC at work. I don’t mind going back and editing with html if needed, and it’s nice to be able to edit. Still, odd.
