Great site! Very informative and accurate! Real food for Real people! Check out my organic whole food supplement called "THE Feast" at http://www.urilife.net/realfoodforlife
I've been drinking it for about 8 months and it is delicious and nutritious without chemicals, synthetics or unnatural additives.
Grace and Peace,
Ed

Good points Migraineur. There are certainly ways to mitigate the hour-long commutes and need to get up at 5am just to get to work. I probably also should have mentioned that getting some exercise will help one sleep better, which will also improve energy levels. It truly takes a multi-pronged approach to get the body purring along properly.

Cheers

"Since you probably have a job that requires you to be there, and consequently to wake up, at a certain time, getting enough sleep means you need to go to bed earlier."

Oh, I wish you'd taken that a little further. There are ways you can get more sleep in the morning. Some of them are small - pack your things for work or school the night before, lay out your clothes, prepare a healthy grab and go breakfast. But there is one really big one many of us could do if we were willing, and that is, Reduce your commute.

You can do this by moving closer to your job; by taking a job closer to your house; or by arranging telecommute days. Some people might also find that public transit is faster than sitting in your car during rush hour.

This is more sustainable, too. All four of these have some sustainability benefits - you use less energy to get to work, and you probably keep more dollars either in your pocket (homemade lunches when telecommuting vs. lunch out at the office) or in your local community (because so many of us buy lunch or do errands near our offices, and if your office is closer to home, you're keeping your dollars in a smaller radius).

I just recently cut out most caffeine - still doing decaf coffee (I like the ritual and the taste) and some tea (not much or decaf tea as well), and you know what? I don't feel any different. At least, I know now that caffeine was NOT a pick me up for me. It's just a habit - maybe an excuse for people to indulge in supersweet "coffee breaks." This may not be true for everyone, but that's my experience. (Just for the record, I think Red Bull is awful.)

I know I don't get enough sleep - that's my problem. I do most everything else right (eat LC, exercise, etc) - getting those 8 hours is just tough with my schedule. But I'm working on it!
